Privacy

Simple, optional analytics.

WebsiteByText is a service operated by Tanglao Corp. In this notice, WebsiteByText, we, and us refer to that service and its operator.

WebsiteByText asks permission before loading PostHog analytics. Declining analytics does not affect sign-in, onboarding, invoices, or service.

What we measure

We record a short list of funnel events, such as starting onboarding, selecting a service path, viewing an account, and submitting website details. With permission, we also retain limited campaign labels, the referring site's hostname, the public landing path, and which advertising provider supplied a click parameter. Raw ad click identifiers, full referrer URLs, and query strings are discarded. Development, preview, and production traffic are labeled separately.

What we do not send

Analytics never includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, domain names, website descriptions, messages, invoice links, one-time codes, files, or social handles. Session replay and automatic capture are disabled.

AI-assisted website creation

When WebsiteByText prepares a private preview, the business details and website description supplied for that project may be processed through Vercel AI Gateway and the selected AI model provider. The result is reviewed by WebsiteByText staff before it is shown to the customer.

Domains and public launch

If you ask WebsiteByText to register a domain, Tanglao Corp sends the required registrant and billing contact details to Amazon Route 53 and the applicable domain registry. You remain the registrant. Contact privacy and automatic renewal are enabled when available. DNS records, verification results, approvals, provider references, and launch checks are retained to operate, audit, recover, renew, or transfer the domain. Domain names, contact details, DNS values, and provider errors are never sent to PostHog.
